Alternate version of Papyrus episode 41 The renouncing of Papyrus in which Papyrus has a strange dream in which he sees himself as a child in a burning village. When he wakes up, he feels the irresistible urge to go in search of this village and after conducting a thorough investigation, he discovers to his horror through an old messenger that pharaoh Merenre had caused a genocide by being very badly influenced by Aker having once been a member of the egyptian royal court. Papyrus was so shocked to learn that his parents, who had once lived in the village, had been banished after the fire that he announced to the pharaoh that he would abandon his role as defender of Egypt and bring peace to the kingdom by freeing the falcon god Horus from the evil god Set.
Tiya tried to reason with Papyrus to return and protect pharaoh Merenre's kingdom after Theti followed Shepsheska (banished and exiled by Merenre) into an area of Thebes and discovered that he was plotting to kill the pharaoh during his jubilee celebration to renew the legitimacy of his reign before the gods. She didn't have time to flee, however, as she was neutralized by one of Shepsheska's followers, who took her back to Set's black pyramid, where she was securely tied to a chair.
After discovering what had happened to Theti, Paryrus agreed to help Tiya save the Merenre girl, unable to resign himself to abandoning her to her fate, otherwise it would be a despicable crime as well as being the young man's worst act of cowardice in his life to deprive Egypt of the heir to the throne when the pharaoh completes his reign. Will Tiya and Papyrus succeed in saving Theti and defeating Set, while freeing the falcon god Horus ?
