This book completes the trilogy about Chakona, its inhabitants, the interaction of the chakats with some humans, skunktaurs and other races, such as the renzar and the rakshanis. All framed within the universe created by  goldfur It's been almost two years of continuous work and it's fair to mention such important people  sethtriggs  marksan  wolfbane115 and all the people from Tales de Chakona Discord for fans.

CHAPTER 40

That afternoon, at the Amistad spaceport, a regular cruise ship from Grom, the planet of the Renzar, made its arrival. The spaceship not only brought passengers but also the first material resources and people for construction, in Amistad, of the first headquarters of the Grom Institute of Commerce, GIC thanks to the agreement signed by the Grom Planetary Delegate and the Chakona authorities, after several days of work in the Capitol of the city.

The rain did not prevent the arrival of the modern and gigantic transport, as well as the normal disembarkation of civilian passengers. Among them, the barefoot footprints of several renzar stood out, especially those of a dark-furred female from the savanna. She was wearing an elegant green one-piece dress with dangling ornaments at the neck, wrists, and ankles. Her walk was rhythmic and sensual, as she dragged her hand luggage.

At the passenger gate, the Dolkun patriarch was looking forward to her. The old renzar was looking everywhere, hoping to recognize her in the crowd. However, was the female herself who approached him from behind.

"[So, you really are older than the PADD image, but still, you keep your Khudok fighter figure]"

"[Uh?.. You're finally here!]"

“[Oh, Varta. retire? But if you still look lovely hehe hehe]”

"[The role of sycophant no longer suits you, Dolkun]" The female answered as they both walked calmly to the departure lounge. After the typical interplanetary check and immunization for first-time visitors, Dolkun and Varta headed for the transport zone.

“[Dolkun. Believe me, I had many doubts about coming here, before accepting your invitation. I didn't even notify Sorah of my visit]"

“[It will be a nice surprise for her. Besides, it's time you met your grandson, isn't it? I was in charge of introducing him to the Renzar community when he was born. And from that moment, I had the idea to bring his grandmother]” The female looking at him out of the corner of her eye, she replied.

【“Look Dolkun. I am a dark renzar from the savanna. You know that our race has the most developed intuition of the four. And now I feel like you're not telling me the whole truth. The old renzar found himself trapped. But he took everything calmly. He halted his march, and placing his hands on Varta's shoulders, he declared.

"[Hmm... We'll see about that]" Varta said, before resuming the march.

“[By the way, Regthar works here at the airport. You might want see him now]”

In the 111 building, the work day was ending. While Gerak-Nee was still concentrating on his work, Esteban and Lorna prepared to go home.

“Hey… I'm really glad you're with Natany, Gerak. I wish you both the best,” Esteban said suddenly, putting a hand on the rakshani's shoulder. He, however, said nothing and continued to look at the screen.

“I say the same, Gerak… Goodbye. Rest up for the weekend,” Lorna added.

"Wait!" The Rakshani suddenly said standing up. "I don't want any more questions about my intimacy with Natany or with anyone"

"Okay Gerak... Then we'll ask Natany heh heh"

“Grrr… Esteban!” roared the cat.

“Okay, okay! It was a joke Gerak. Relax please. We're really glad you guys are together, aren't we Lorna?"

“Oh yeah… It's just… Well… We've never known of a relationship between us rakshani and a renzar. And so we're curious, that's all” The chakat replied.

"Hmmm," Gerak-Nee replied, crossing her arms.

“Yes, we respect the privacy of you two… And we love you very much!” Esteban said and then gave the Rakshani a hug, who, disconcerted, felt how the boy squeezed him.

"Alright. Let's not bother our colleague anymore. Let's go Esteban. Take care Gerak,” Lorna finally said, before dragging her human co-worker toward the door. After moving down the corridor and toward the elevator, Lorna took Esteban's arm again, as was his custom. Esteban looked at hym and smiled.

"You're still my guardian lioness, aren't you?"

"Always!" Lorna replied, showing hys teeth with delight.

"And I to you, Esteban" The chakat replied giving him a soft lick on the face. As they passed through the hangar area, they noticed that the rain was falling incessantly. Esteban noticed that the stariionae that he was parked in that place for several days, and that on one occasion he thought it heard his music, it was no longer there. He made the comment to Lorna, but shi, paying no attention to him, quickly led him out, not wanting to get hys fur wet in the rain.

At the Amistad police station, Natany entered the office that Tagle used to occupy. She looked around and then sighed. Nostalgia and sadness invaded her heart once more, seeing some of her friend's things were still there. Suddenly, the door opened and a fellow Chakat police appeared.

“Oh Natany, excuse me. Tagle's lifemate is here and comes to get hys last belongings ”

"Yes, yes, of course, please come in... I was leaving" Renzar replied. At that moment, a skunktaur with a bushy tail and braided hair entered the office.

"Excuse me…"

"Oh... Please Maret, go ahead..." Natany hastened to say, welcoming hym with a hug.

“Thank you Natany… I'm calmer now, enough to come and pick up Tagle's things. I hope not to be a nuisance"

"Oh, no please Maret, don't say that... I'm sorry I can't contain myself... I still can't believe that hy is gone"

“Natany… I no longer have tears to shed. I must be strong, for our son"

"Maret, you will always have my support, and all the Amistad police"

"I know Natany, thank you"

"Let me help you with this" added the renzar as she helped the skunktaur put Tagle's things in a box. Natany, checking the computer again, saw the map of the residential area where she had been with Rhealle yesterday.

"Maret, sorry for asking, but Tagle didn't speak to you about something in particular that hy was investigating?"

“I told the investigators everything I knew. Tagle never talked about police cases at home, as hy said that it was not good to bring work home ”

"Yes, that's so true. IM such a fool. I'm sorry"

“But, I know… Hy told me that he was worried about a Chakat who had attempted suicide. The one you saved, Natany. I know that Tagle spoke to shi several times. Hy said that a chakat would not do that unless shi was very mentally ill or desperate. But that was not the case with that chakat."

"I suppose you came for Lilethe, right?"

"Yeah. I just wanted to surprise hym."

"Oh I see. Hy was here half an hour ago. Hy said that hy was going to…Faise's house or something, and that hy would go with you ”

"With me? To Faise's house?" Esteban asked surprised.

"Do you know hym? I think hy is a patient of Lilethe"

"Maybe. I'd better go to that skunktaur's. Do you know the address Sachi?”

"Esteban! You look cute with wet hair heh heh" Renzar said. The human opened his shirt collar and took out the pendant that she had given him some time ago.

“Look Sachi… I always carry you with me. You see it?" He stated showing it to her. The Renzar was happy to see that Esteban appreciated that detail. Then the boy rushed to the entrance of the subway station, which was located not far from the medical center.
