Beelzeby finished his speech with a Machiavellian smile on his face, turning his back on Rex as he spoke to Raijin through the Gadget, all of Lucario's arrogance and pomposity had been swept away and the Metal-type Pokémon's face only reflected one thing "fear". Rex began to tremble, moving his paw very slowly until it touched his white collar. The Pokémon then gave a growl and was about to rip it off his neck, but something happened and Lucario calmed down, leaving it where it had always been:
— Humph, Trevor says we've done enough for today and they won't be able to assess us until dawn, apparently only Melissa and Naz have already completed their mission. I'm going back to the palace, let you turn around now. — Luxray said, and with the message delivered, the Electric-type Pokémon simply took an Orb out of its bag and disappeared in a flash of light.
Rex stood still for a few moments looking around, then the Pokémon hugged itself and watched the moon, already feeling very exhausted, Lucario left the place walking leisurely just to have more time to ponder everything he had learned there:
— What a busy night, I can't find my favorite Croconaw, I try to create a show to distract myself and the circus comes to me. — The Dewott in the red beret was lying among some plants that grew naturally on the walls of a building, the Pokémon was wrapped in the vines of the plants as if he were lying in a comfortable hammock, from there he could observe and hear everything that was said with his keen Pokémon hearing and sight, the Dewott began to count the money he had earned smiling as he changed form to become Akeldama the ghost Zoroark. — This city gets more and more interesting, hehe, I like it.
At the same time that the Soldiers were going around the city, Mei Servine was doing some hunting of her own, becoming increasingly irritated and impatient, having already searched the castle, the Lacustre base, and even the shelter where Luke Croconaw lived, but she couldn't find him. It wasn't long before Servine's gadget beeped, and when she answered, her partner Theo Ursaring was on the other end of the call, visibly irritated:
— HEY MEI WERE YOU?! STILL HAVEN'T FOUND THAT IDIOT CROCONAW?! — Ursaring shouted, distant behind him, Saren Larvitar could hear everything in a muffled manner, as he was trapped inside a small, tightly closed glass dome on a table. — FIND THAT CROCONAW SOON, OTHERWISE WE'LL TURN THIS LARVITAR WE'VE CAUGHT INTO STONE, UNDERSTAND?!
Saren was apprehensive, not knowing what they wanted so badly with his brother, the glass dome was a long way from where Theo was and it only had a small hole in the top connected to it and at its base it was connected to a device which suppressed the Larvitar's powers, its glass being tough enough not to be broken with brute force. Saren stayed in there for hours trying to scream, hit, use his blows, even play dead and nothing worked, by that time he had given up on escaping on his own praying for help, the Pokémon then turned his attention to the side seeing his black backpack open with his Gadget out and his other things scattered on the table:
— I've been here for a long time, a red Pokémon grabbed me from behind and turned me off, I woke up trapped in this crap, I thought I'd run away when they brought me food, but this damn machine just made a bad fruit appear in front of me, and as if that wasn't bad enough there's no more natural light around here so it must be night. — The Larvitar then sat down on the floor of the dome, picking up its orange cap in its paws and starting to cry as it looked at its Gadget from afar. — Daddy...~sob~ I've been stuck here for hours, and... and you didn't even notice I was gone, ~snif~~snif.
The little Pokémon wiped away his tears with his little cap with a mixture of anger and sadness, his father was too busy to pay attention to him and realize something so important and his brother no longer lived with him and was forbidden even to communicate, Larvitar knew that all this could have been avoided if his family had been united as before and having this realization only made him want to cry more. Saren's wailing was such that it drew the attention of a Chimecho, who until that moment had hidden his presence. The Pokémon approached him with a macabre smile, standing in front of the glass dome in full view of the Rock type:
— Poor you, it's sad to be trapped, isn't it? — Questioned the Psychic Pokémon in a very suspicious manner, Saren stopped crying for a moment, looking at the Pokémon. — Look, your situation could be totally different, what do you think about joining us, so you can be free again, what do you think?
Larvitar snarls, throwing his orange cap and hitting the glass between him and Chimecho, he then gets up and slams into the glass wall angrily, shouting orders to get him out, but on the other side of the dome, the Psychic type isn't shaken, just enjoying seeing Saren's reaction. On top of that, Saren is humming, flying wildly through the air, laughing at the hostage's desperation. A Roserade heard all the commotion and went to check the integrity of the plan, Miecho the Chimecho explained everything that had happened there before his companion appeared:
— Don't be reckless Miecho, we can't turn this Larvitar into an ally, he's just offering if the whole plan works, let him enjoy his last moments in peace. — Roserade replied harshly, and the Grass type then left the place, seeing that everything was under control.
Miecho grumbles about Axl Roserade was still annoying even as Hellstalker, only now he was much more in control of his boss compared to his Network version, Chimecho then shows his tongue to Larvitar, turning to him in a snobbish manner, leaving him alone at last. Saren soon stopped his angry crying, he was aware of what could have happened when Miecho went to talk and the Rock type wanted to avoid being like his tormentors at all costs, but while putting his orange cap back on, the Pokémon had an epiphany:
— Miecho the Chimecho and Axl the Roserade, hmmmm.... OW, OW BOY, NO, I'VE BEEN KIDNAPPED BY THE MADRESP TEAM?! GHHHAAAAAW THAT'S AWESOME, I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!! - Shouted Saren excitedly after recognizing the two members of Unite's team. — Wait... Ow boy…. No, OOWWW NO BOY, were they Hellstalkers all this time? What a bastard, but that must be why they're a losing team, they never win so I'm safe hehehe, I hope Mei's okay too.
Larvitar's despair and sadness were completely erased by his discovery, in fact, looking closely at that place it was clear that it was the multi-sports stadium of Argules which was relatively far from the palace where he had been ambushed, Saren imagined that his father must be as disappointed as he was to know that his favorite team was all Machiavellian. The Larvitar wondered why he had been kidnapped, it wasn't to ally him as Axl himself had said and reiterated that he would be a sacrifice if such a plan worked, but Saren just sat back, leaning comfortably against the glass wall of the dome, confident that he would soon be free of li.
Parallel to everything that was going on in the stadium, Luke was returning to the city of Argules, smiling proudly as the back of his red scarf bore his self-made staff, which, with Aurora's guidance and using the Shadow Claw, was easy to carve. According to Ribombee, this was an Enertronic object, meaning that it was only capable of creating effects if it absorbed its user's own energy, and to make a staff you had to take a branch from a tree in good condition to harden it with essence of the Fairy, Bug, Grass and Psychic types; most of the objects used by Pokémon were Magitronic, in this case those that needed a single power to be used and when that power ran out the object was completely useless:
— A few scales of the Bug-UG-UG-UGGG type, the sap of a Grass type withdrawn with AFFECTION-ION- IOOONNNN, the graceful WIND-D-D-D that only a Fairy type can make, and finally a connection of mind and object using the Psychic type to your heart's content, put it all together and an incredible staff can DO-OH-OH-OH!! — sang the Ribombee inside the red scarf, this was the recipe for creating a staff being taught through a lovely song that seemed to have been taken from a Fairy tale.
When they reached the wall separating the forest from Argules, two gate guards a Coalossal and a Golisopod wearing armor bearing the symbol of Flamey royalty closed the gates at the sight of the Pokémon Water, then shouted from above a booth, ordering Luke to stop there and identify himself immediately. Croconaw looks down at them in confusion, after all, since Totodile he had been passing through there with his mother Nái Tyranitar and the guards had never stopped him, Luke then shouts his name, to no avail, to the point where Golisopod jumps out of the booth, lands next to Croconaw and approaches him, showing his arm:
— Your Gadget, please. — Said the Golisopod.
Luke still didn't understand anything, but he took out his Gadget from inside the red scarf and handed it to the Golisopod, who then began to play with it. Aurora then took her head out of the scarf and saw the guard standing there, slightly worried that someone had discovered Croconaw's double life. However, the Golisopod guard laughs, then says he's sorry for stopping Luke and closes the gate, saying he didn't recognize Croconaw and thought he was an outsider.
Luke turns red at the guard's affirmation, Croconaw then scratches his head from behind and explains that he wanted to change his appearance and succeeded thanks to the help of his partner Ribombee, together they sewed his new scarf with scarves thrown through a dungeon in the forest. The comment made Golisopod feel a little disgusted, even asking if Croconaw had at least washed them before doing such a thing. The observation drew laughter from the Pokémon present, making Coalossal curious as he watched from the top of the wall. With everything settled, Golisopod returned Luke's gadget and went back to the cabin, using the Watefall move to propel him to the top.
The great gates of the wall then open, and Croconaw finally enters Argules, smiling with his head held high, not only because of the praise he's received, but also because he feels like a new Pokémon, ready to deal with anything:
— Excuse me, huff huff I'm looking for this friend of mine, have you seen him?! —Mei asked a Slurpuff Network that was walking around.
Luke spotted his friend from afar and opened his mouth wide, happy to see her, wondering if she recognized him. Croconaw then ran towards Servine and the little Ribombee, whose head was still outside the red scarf, recognized the Pokémon. Aurora began to tremble and cry with fear, the terror of remembering being hunted and petrified was so great that it prevented her from saying anything or warning her partner of the danger:
— MEI, MEI, HI, GOOD NIGHT! — Luke shouted, raising his arm in the air with an open hand. Mei turned to look at Croconaw strangely, apparently not understanding why he was calling him. — Hehehe, you didn't recognize me, what a treat, *Caham...* It's me, Luke Hidron, I've changed my look, what do you think?
Smiling, Luke even turns around a little, stopping in front of Servine and slapping one of his arms on one of the loose ends of his scarf, putting it back and striking a stylish pose, Mei even looks a little impressed by the Pokémon's countenance, which has changed like his clothes. The Hellstalker almost smiles, after all she imagined that as proud as Croconaw was, her sadness would be even more overwhelming, but she doesn't smile because she has to maintain her disguise as a concerned friend:
— WE DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THIS LUKE, I'VE BEEN LOOKING EVERYWHERE FOR YOU! — The Grass-type shouted as she swayed around pretending to be worried about something, which was enough to catch Luke's attention and he asked her about her reaction. — I WENT TO THE LIBRARY TO TALK TO YOU, BUT THEN I MET YOUR BROTHER AND...AND... THE HORROR!
Said the Servine, turning her head towards her victim and lowering it, but Croconaw grabbed Mei's arms violently, pulling her towards him with a force so unexpected for the Grass-type that her white hat fell to the ground, the Hellstalker turning red at being so close to the Water-type's big mouth and also at the demonstration of power he showed. Luke then asks in a more serious voice about his brother, the Servine stutters an "ouch" making Croconaw shake his head and let go of his friend apologizing for his reaction and if he had hurt her, something that leaves Mei disappointed as she apparently enjoyed being held like that:
— Huff, huff, two Pokémon from Unite's team gave me a push and took Saren in their arms, I followed them to the stadium and tried to call for help, but the policemen and the members of the Lacustre base who believed me didn't come back. - Servine said more bashfully, now no longer pretending to be terrified. - I was going to warn your father, but I couldn't get anywhere near the throne so I thought I'd better tell him!
The Water type gives a growl and quickly grabs his Gadget from the red scarf, he looks for his father's photo only to realize that he is no longer connected to it remembering that Lucius undid his connection when he kicked him out of the house, Luke then tries to contact the master of the Lacustre base Trevor Houndoom only for him not to answer. The Croconaw wearing the red scarf looked apprehensive, so he said to the Servine in the white scarf as she picked up her hat from the floor that she was going to run to the base to warn Trevor, but at that moment Mei grabbed Luke's arm, saying there was no more time, and pulled him into the stadium.
The Ribombee pulls her head out of the red scarf, she heard the whole conversation but her voice didn't come out because she was so terrified of the Hellstalker, Aurora then crawls inside the scarf to the back of Croconaw's head near the staff, once again the Ribombee tries to say something without success and at that moment:
— GO GET HELP, QUICK, I WON'T BE ABLE TO HANDLE ALL THIS ON MY OWN!!! — The Water type said while still being pulled by Servine, who didn't understand and continued to pull him saying that they didn't have time, when Luke then retorted. — WE DON'T huff huff, but I know who hufff huff has...
Mei then tells Croconaw to stop making jokes and keep running, however, using his MPP Luke uses the weakened Aqua Tail move just to generate water and with that he makes her go for her red scarf. With the garment wet, the Water type could manipulate it as he saw fit, and so he controlled the two red ribbons of the scarf which were on his back, tying Aurora up with them and throwing her out of the garment.
The Ribombee spins forward in the air until it stops inertia using its wings, the bug-type then turns to look at the worried Croconaw only to see him just make an "okay" sign using the hand Servine wasn't holding. Aurora thinks about following them, but as soon as she flies forward she starts to have memories of Mei grabbing her and laughing while petrifying her, the Fairy-type clutches her blue scarf very tightly and tenses her body in fear:
~No, I can't do that, I can't even tell Luke he's holding hands with an enemy. Damn it, Aurora, get a move on, you promised to protect him and you're screwing up again. ~ Ribombee thought as she watched her partner move further and further away from her, and that's when she thought of Croconaw's words. ~I can't do anything, but as Luke said, I can still fly for help and I know where they're going, HOLD ON LUKE, HOLD ON UNTIL I GET BACK!!!
It took a few more minutes before Hellstalker finally managed to drag Luke into the Argules multi-sports stadium, the Pokémon stopped at the door and it was visible that the place was open but with no signs of a break-in and all the lights were off:
— Mei, we need to call for help, if no one has come out since you started calling, this is certainly not the work of ordinary Pokémon. — Croconaw said worriedly.
Mei rolls her eyes, already tired of the delay in Luke taking action, the Hellstalker then decides to push a little harder, heading towards the entrance to the stadium, but Croconaw holds Servine's tail, questioning her about her hasty decision:
— Luke I've been calling for help ALL DAY, the more time we waste, who knows what will happen to Saren, I'M TIRED of depending on others. — Pointed out Mei feigning concern for Luke's younger brother, the Croconaw let go of Servine's tail and started up the ramp to the stadium, still talking to the Water type. — Call for help if you want, I'll go in and sort this all out at once, if anything happens to your brother I won't forgive myself.
Mei then turned her back to Luke and started walking towards the entrance, counting off in her head. Before she reached number ten, Croconaw came running up the ramps behind her, saying that he would help her as a support Pokémon, saying beforehand that he didn't know how to fight properly. Servine smiles in favor of success, as they both enter the place the interior lights come on, making Luke tense up as he knows there is something or someone watching them just from this small action.
The Grass type takes a few steps forward looking around, everything was going as she had planned with Theo who had blocked all the passages leaving only one open for them to go through, the Pokémon pass through the only unobstructed door entering a dark room whose only source of light was the moon which could be seen through a large glass window far away from them. Mei leads the way, looking sideways and slowly away from Luke, who finds a light switch and turns on the light to see in the corners of the room several stone statues of the Pokémon that Servine might have asked for help earlier.
Mei screams in terror, covering her eyes with her white hat, and the worried Water-type runs towards her with the intention of pulling her out, but Ursaring in a sports shirt is hiding among the statues, and taking advantage of Croconaw's opening, he throws a stone at him. Luke heard the noise, but it didn't stop him from being hit in the stomach and thrown against the glass window, shattering it. Suddenly, the stone began to fall heavily to the ground, which seemed to be the Smack Down.
The Croconaw went spinning down the stands of the stadium due to the inertia, stopping only when it reached the inside of the arena because the movement had dissipated. Luke coughed and felt his back and arm bruised from being dragged and from the shards of glass stuck to it. It hurt and burned a lot and it was an arduous task to stand up. However, this condition didn't last because of Croconaw's sagacity, who picked up some Energy Seed while they were collecting material to make the staff, Luke went through his red scarf and found the stuff, healing himself by putting it all in his big mouth and chewing it.
No longer feeling pain, the Water Pokémon shook himself to get rid of the debris that had once been stuck in his skin. The lights in the arena then began to come on, surprising Luke, who only realized he was inside at that moment. It was a large place with several trees and bushes, as if there were an echo system all around. The Pokémon was aware that nothing there was actually "alive", because these arenas were above several orbs that created virtual environments in different situations:
— GOOD EVENING MR. HIDRON, I HOPE YOU ENJOYED OUR WELCOME! — Theo spoke through a large holographic screen which floated above the arena, Croconaw stopped thinking about the arena and directed his attention to it, seeing his ally Servine trapped in an inhibiting dome, having the attention of the Water type Ursaring begins to mock. — WE WANTED DAD TO BE PRESENT, BUT SINCE HE HASN'T SHOWN UP YET, WE CAN PLAY WITH HIS FAILED SON, I HOPE HE'LL BE ABLE TO ENTERTAIN US HEHEHE.
The Normal type needed to say that little bluff to go along with Mei's plan, now the rest of the Madresp team would just need to terrorize and humiliate Luke with the intention of corrupting him through their gluttony for power; taking a deep breath, Croconaw pulled his staff from the back of his scarf and then pointed the top of it at the screen:
— I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE PART IN THIS STUPID GAME, YOU'RE GOING TO GIVE MY BROTHER AND MY FRIEND BACK RIGHT NOW!!! — Luke shouts with determination, only drawing laughter from Theo.
The Croconaw then hears the rustling of the virtual undergrowth and as there is no wind there it would only mean that someone was approaching, Luke leaps to try to get out of the arena immediately only to hit his head on a kind of invisible barrier falling back onto the arena floor on his buttocks, it is then that he sees behind him a Sawk with his cloak in tatters and a Throh with only his cloak pants, growling the Croconaw stands up holding his staff firmly in combat position:
— I TOLD YOU, I WON'T TAKE PART IN YOUR SADISTIC GAME, FREE MY BROTHER AND MY FRIEND NOW! — Luke ordered, but Throh gave him a disdainful smile while Sawk took a step forward, making Croconaw take a step back.
— If not? - Sawk asked with a serious tone, the Fighting Pokémon then began to approach at the same time as Luke moved away. — Only strong or respectable Pokémon can demand something, and you're neither...
As the ragged Sawk approached, Croconaw was finally trapped against the wall of the arena, but unlike the Hellstalkers, he wasn't afraid, he was just trying to think of something to run away with so he could change his clothes, since like Luke he couldn't attack without blowing his cover, the Water-type hit the wall of the arena, realizing that it wasn't that massive and maybe he could get through it with a swing of his staff. Croconaw then gets back into fighting position, Throh mocks that it's pointless fighting the two of them, justifying it by talking about his and Sawk's achievements as a duo:
— Hehehe, what a great curriculum, but I never said fighting was my intention.... HA!!! — Mocked Luke before swinging his staff in a specific way.
According to Aurora's quick teachings, depending on how the staff was swung, it would suck an amount of PP energy from Croconaw corresponding to the desired effect, which was teleportation to pass through the wall out of the invisible barrier. However, Ribombee forgot to mention several other points to Luke for obvious reasons. One of the things that would be pertinent is that the effects come from the tip of the staff and only through it, so when Croconaw invoked the teleportation effect, the Pokémon disappeared and reappeared on Sawk's shoulders, which was where the staff was pointing.
Aurelio the Sawk wasn't expecting this and tried to keep his balance even with the Water-type on his shoulders, Atlas the Throh got nervous and lunged forward, apparently wanting to grab Luke who was also trying to keep his balance on Aurelio's shoulders. The Water-type jumped up and stomped with both feet on the back of the chest-sampling Pokémon, propelling itself into the virtual undergrowth while pushing one Fighting-type against the other:
— GRRRRRR, AURELIO, ATLAS YOU TWO BASTARDS, GET THIS CROCONAW NOW!!! — Ursaring shouted and hit the control panel in front of him, making Mei worry, Servine then hit the glass making Theo turn towards her and see Mei's displeased face.
Luke's plan completely backfired and now he was running deeper into the arena, the Pokémon leapt in a single bound to the top of a tree where it sat down on a branch and finally out of danger as Croconaw gasped, calmer Luke was about to activate his Aqua Tail and make the MPP to exchange his scarf for the hood:
— HE'S IN THE BOT LANE, MIECHO FIX THIS PROBLEM!!! — Theo orders one of his companions.
The Croconaw then slaps his hand to his face in anger at his own stupidity, he had completely forgotten about the Normal type watching his every step inside the arena, Luke observes the trapped Grass type and imagines that his younger brother is in the same way or worse, feeling cornered the Water type was about to make the MPP to change clothes when out of nowhere a sharp voice hits Luke from behind blowing up the tree and throwing him to the ground in which the Croconaw falls on his stomach but without serious injuries. It was a Chimecho, possibly the one summoned by Ursaring. The Pokémon laughed at Luke's misfortune as he tried to get up from the ground only to be hit by another one of those screams, causing him to spin on the ground. However, even though he was hit directly, the blow wasn't that strong and its frequency calmed him down, indicating that it was the Disarming Voice move.
Luke could even think a little more clearly because of the sense of calm the blow gave him, which led him to conclude that in order to escape from the arena he would have to use his staff to the best of his ability to at least incapacitate the Hellstalkers, after all he had no idea how many enemies there were there and if some of them fled after seeing Croconaw turn red it would be chaos. The Pokémon with the red scarf continued to be dragged along the ground by the Disarming Voice move, but having had enough of that insignificant blow, it shook its staff, teleporting to another place further away from the sound waves uttered by Miecho. Luke reappeared on top of another tree, now with a better view of the annoying Chimecho:
— ARRRRG, IT'S NOT FAIR, IT'S NOT FAIR, YOU'RE STEALING!!! — complained Chimecho, shaking himself in the air, apparently very angry at Croconaw's antics.
The Psyquic type's outburst was very good for Croconaw to have time to take a good look at it. The Pokémon then began to connect everything up to that point and recognized its tormentors as a Unite sports team, but they were all very different from how it knew them. Aurelio Sawk didn't used to have torn and worn out clothes, after all he seemed to have a habit of cleaning even during matches, Atlas Throh always seemed to be ashamed of his own body so much so that he was constantly seen completely covered up, only now he was even wearing only part of his clothes, finally, Miecho Chimecho was the most cheerful Pokémon on the team, always treating everyone well and with respect even when reporters mocked his team. Now he looked like a young, whiny Pokémon, and even his Chimecho belt had small bite marks on it, as if the former had made them:
— What by Giratina happened to your team, they're decrepit to the point of being very sad to see. — Said Luke, hidden among the holographic trees. Croconaw had no intention of speaking and the words just came out due to the shock felt by the guy. — Dad would really be sad, he'd been following the Madresp team since before they had this new team.
— I think the sadness of losing two sons will be worse than losing a team of "nobody's". — Said a subtle Roserade peeking out from behind Luke in the tree.
Before Croconaw could react, the Grass Pokémon used the move Poison Jab, hitting the Water-type Pokémon's spine with its arms in the shape of a bouquet of roses, Luke screamed loudly as the poisonous blows could be felt in his bones. In the end, when Roserade finished using the blow, Croconaw was completely immobile with purple marks on its back, unable to hold on to its staff, it dropped it to the ground while it continued to stand on the branch paralyzed with pain, until Roserade pushed Luke's head slightly, causing him to fall out of the tree onto his belly and onto the ground on top of his staff.
On the ground, Croconaw began to foam with pain, the poison was affecting his nervous system due to Axl Roserade's precise insertions. Luke wanted very much to move to get something from his red scarf to heal him and relieve the pain, but his body wouldn't obey him and as if that wasn't bad enough, he saw Axl jump out of the tree and head towards him. It didn't take long for Aurelio Miecho and Atlas to get there too, Throh and Chimecho were laughing at Croconaw's situation and congratulating Axl on having managed to catch him:
— Enough of this futile talk, let's petrify him once and for all and then do the same to his brother and get it over with. — Said Sawk, who even stepped on Luke and turned him around to face the four Pokémon.
The four then began to summon their Matter Aura to petrify Croconaw:
— We don't have to do this, friends, I have a much better idea. — Said Theo who had already entered the arena, Ursaring approached the Pokémon holding Mei and Saren's glass prisons in his hands and placing them on the ground.
The four members of the Madresp team then made room for Theo, the Normal type facing Luke who was still seizing up from the pain of the poison, Ursaring saw the staff on the ground, picked it up in his hand and looked at the Water type with a confident smile:
— I've heard of you, you know that? — Theo said as he bent down, Aurelio and Atlas then grabbed Luke's arms and lifted him up. — The abortion of the royal advisor, Luke Hidron, is not strong, not fast, not anyone...
The Ursaring began to caress the Croconaw's face, which was writhing and drooling in pain from the poison, Theo then began to talk about all of Luke's misfortunes until he reached that moment, he talked about his pathetic performance at the academy, he talked about the privileged positions of his relatives, he talked about him not even being able to use moves that even a Magikarp would be able to use perfectly. The Normal type then took the Mystic Water string without removing it from Croconaw's neck, he just lifted it a little to reflect the Pokémon Water:
— Look how pitiful you are, a Network like you is as dumb as a filthy Beserker, even so... — The Normal type then stops talking for a moment and clicks its claws, Chimecho then starts swinging and ringing the bell on its head, curing Luke's poisoning, who doesn't understand anything else. — For the Network and your father you're just an abortion, but for Dark Matter you can be so much more, no more laughing at you, no more belittling you, no more discrimination, we're offering you the chance to change everything, the chance of a world without these injustices, A WORLD WHERE A POKÉMON IS NOT TREATED AS WASTE FOR NOT BEING A STANDARD!
Throh and Sawk then throw Croconaw on the ground at Ursaring's feet, who smiles and stretches out his big arm to him. Luke raises his head with difficulty, looking into Theo's bright brown eyes:
— You're right, everything you've said is right, my father never appreciated me, I only get scornful looks from the Pokémon around me and that's when they didn't hurt me... — Croconaw continues to stagger without the strength to stand up or support his body with his hands. — I have a happy life, my father doesn't value me as a warrior, but I know he loves me as a son, Master Trevor never gave up on me even when I did...
Luke looked away from Theo and paid attention to his brother Saren, who was crying a lot and banging on the glass as if he wanted to reach out and save him:
— Saren always trusted me, Cody was the best friend I could have ever wanted who I loved and loved me, Aurora and Mei believed in me as a partner and stood by me even when I gave up on being a rescue team member. — Mystic Water gives a slight glow making the normal type hesitate, having this chance Luke stands up abruptly surprising the five members of the Madresp team, the Pokémon grabs and pulls his staff from Ursaring's hand running towards his brother and partner.
However, Axl acted quickly, using the Energy Ball move on the back of Croconaw's head, causing him to fall in front of Saren and Mei's glass prison, who crouched down to face him. Theo stood up and headed towards Luke, accompanied by the rest of his team. Ursaring looks at Servine inside the glass, she shakes her head as if to say that her mission was a failure, the Normal type gives an angry growl and begins to snap one claw at the other, Croconaw stands to one side groaning in pain and dizzy from the blow:
— I-I *cof cof* W-will never betra-ay my family and friends. *cof arrg* — Luke stands up leaning on his staff, then looks determinedly into Theo's hate-filled eyes and says with a sly smile. — I'd rather be a stone statue than a slave to Dark Matter...
The Ursaring then gives a deafening scream about hitting Croconaw with a slash, but before either of them could go on the offensive, the Thunderbolt's rays hit Theo directly, causing him to fall into the arms of Aurelius and Atlas. Luke staggers backwards, falling to the ground on his back, but Cody Charmeleon holds him back with his claws:
— You were amazing as always Luke, we'll take care of everything now. — Charmeleon swore as he gently laid Croconaw on the ground, Cody then took a few steps to stand next to Nero, who was already right there with his yellow hair bristling in front of the Hellstalkers, the prince then spoke with sparks of fire coming out of his mouth. — Five against one, what a team of cowards... YOU'LL PAY DEARLY FOR THIS!
