The mysterious purple glow on her body... it seems to be not from this world... And there is more than a grain of truth in that.
This dragoness was born in a world called "Daracoss" in the realm of Athellion, a world full of magical creatures.
Aylin originally belonged to the Starwing clan, which is native to northern Athellion. Pretty much on the border. She lived with her father and four older siblings. In addition to all the other clan members.
She had never met her mother Ashira, as she died before she hatched. She was told she had fallen in the "glorious battle." But she had never really believed that.
The whole clan is classified as "wild" and therefore considered aggressive and dangerous.
The clan is in an open territory battle with another dragon clan (The Krohm Horde) and a griffin clan (The Korszeck Pack). These three parties are fighting over the final territorial rule of the mountain and the surrounding areas.
Aylin was the only one of the clan who could actively use magic, which was a huge advantage for Starwing in fight. At least that's what her father said.
She was already fed up with the clan's internal power struggles with her siblings, so an open war went more than just against the grain.
Her father presented her with two options: to participate directly in the battles, or to produce offspring as soon as possible, in the expectation that these offspring would inherit the ability to use magic from her, so that they would fight in their place.
These were two non-negotiable no's for her. As the result, he wanted to force her, which ended in a fierce fight in which she would have killed her father if her siblings had not intervened.
The same night she fled. She came across a merchant ship of the fleet of Haven, which had problems with attacking wild Wyvern.
Still completely agitated and angry about the last events, she made a short magic trial with these Wyvers and helped the crew out of the predicament.
Much to the amazement of an accompanying elf. He was none other than Mylash from the Mages Guild (The Watchful Hand) in Haven.
He made her the offer to accompany him there, as the guild would always be interested in talented new members.
At that time, she preferred any place to her clan and went with her.
She sniffed it briefly, so to speak, but decided against joining, as she would again be subject to a hierarchy there, with duties and expectations.
Not to the same extent as before, but she still wanted something different.
She briefly had accommodation in the city and a job as a courier who threw off some money.
But it quickly became too much for her in the city and she just wanted to distance herself from everything, if possible away from all this somewhere between the floating mountains.
Mylash showed her on the guild maps how the storm fronts' migration routes were going, and he familiarized her with their behavior.
And with this knowledge, she finally went into the wilderness of the Floating Mountains. . . . . .
Two years later, Ravey fell from the sky.....
Together they´re experiencing an amazing adventure, to find a way home for Ravey, to Draco and Heavens Gate.
Aylin got the idea of visiting the city "Haven", where the mage guild probably could help them. But all turned out differently than exptected.
They fell in love each other....
Later in Haven they found a possibility for Ravey to return to Draco, but with the loss of Aylin because he never can return to Daracoss if he pass the portal back home.
In a heartbreaking scene after saying goodbye, he passed the gate and returned home.
Aylin, in a painful moment of lovesickness, got the offer to follow him through that portal from the guardian dragon "Galvatros".
But she has to sacrifice her "Unique Selling Propositio", all of her magical abilities.
She accepted this destiny and went trough the portal.. for a life with her beloved Ravey.. a new life in Draco and Heavens Gate.
Since then, her life completely changes... in that modern world.

Amazing looking dragoness I really love that her wings are so pretty and colorful! additionally pattern on her back is something that keeps getting my attention, these nice purple markings are just so damn amazing looking! Also she has similar design of headspikes as my Frostburn :D I love that personally, bonus points that her flesh is purple as well! In general a great looking design I approve
Simply beautiful, Aylin was always my favorite dragoness right after I read the stories Starwings and A special liking for wild ones. It's still one of my most favorite stories so far. I love the details in the picture from the story, such as her scarf and the rose that turned into a magical artifact after they got into Ravey's world. I love how it turned out and the stunning inner side of her wings, amazed by it the same way as the hatchling from the place where Ravey's mom works :)
