งูลายสาบคอแดง.
Rhabdophis subminiatus.
R. subminiatus might be some of the most unusual snakes altogether. Snakes from this genus are of the very few that are considered both venomous and poisonous, meaning that it is capable of delivering venom through injection/bites (being a rear-fanged colubrid) as well as poisoning potential attackers the same way that some frogs and toads do - through mere touch and oral contact. Ironically, the poison is not produced by the snake itself but gained through its prey - which happen to be frogs and toads. If harrassed, it is able to produce a poisonous, whitish secretion (called nuchal gland toxins) which flows out of its neck.
For the longest of time, this snake was thought to be perfectly harmless until first patients had to be treated for serious toxications.

Reminds me how poison dart frogs inside zoos are not poisonous, for the simple reason that the wild ones get their poison from eating toxic insects. But the poison dart frogs inside zoos get things like wingless fruit flies dusted with calcium powder for added nutrition.
In other words, frog eats toxic insect and to get toxic, snake eats toxic frog and to get toxic. Comes full circle. :D
