It's been a while. In a perhaps awkward and overly open note, (and at the risk of being a broken record) I've been in a struggle for far too many years to find direction and purpose. Giving in to lethargy and apathy. Neglecting mental health, relationships, responsibilities... I don't seek sympathy as I've been on this cycle for too long without taking proper ownership of the situation. I'm on the mend and am ever grateful I have the invaluable fortune of amazing supportive people guiding me on. Such as all of you sticking around for the many years I've been uploading here, infrequent as it is...and with as varied the content can be.
I imagine we can all relate in our own ways. Sometimes need a respite from it all. After a dream I had recently I felt the compelled to capture a peaceful scene in an attempt to rekindle my creative spark once again. Something enraptures me about the timelessness of animals playing in a snowy moonlit field. It gives me a somber nostalgia. I also wrote an embarrassing poem to accompany it as if I haven't bemoaned enough.
Deep amidst the wood
Where time is forever stood
The trees hide away
Where animals come to play
Ethereal moment in the night
Snowbanks twinkle with moonlight
Time stands frozen in the ice
They dance free from its vice
Illusionary it may seem
Animals frolicking amidst the dream
To us who are not free
Eternal ticking down for thee
The night will come so soon
Embracing cold, snow and moon
When we dance as the animals do
And quietly become dreams too
A couple songs that inspired the scene as well.

(Caution investigating this game. It's intense. So I wanted to create my own version of this scene to be peaceful and comforting.)
