So this is why I've been mia for weeks now.

The backstory here is that my brother and his wife had a kid, and as our parents are dead, I was bummed that my niece might miss out on stuff. Then I realized that there's no rule saying I can't do that stuff!

And in trying stuff out I realized I'm actually pretty good at crossstitch! I already know how to make pixel art, and there are programs that let you do that and tell you the exact color of the thread you need to use too!

I also realized I was actually the only one in the family who crossstitched and it ended up being a go to present idea.

This particular set is for a friend who told me the holder they had for the card we use here to check into public transport, had broken and who had gotten a pokemon sleep device.

As you can see, I made both holders out of green leather, the thinner soft stuff that's easier to work with, and made the embroidery on aida cloth that I could put on the outside. The protective pouch is also equipped with a magnetic closer to keep things in place, but the closer is stitched to the aida on the inside, so it won't be annoying to have in a pocket.
