The perfect place for Plus Sized ‘mon.
Let’s be straight with each other for a second, alright? Pokémon can get big. And that’s not a problem, so long as you can feed them. Mike’s just big enough to where his portions are notably larger than a human’s would be, but thankfully not so big that it starts being a drain on finances. It just means double portions when cooking at home or ordering fast food, or never needing to-go boxes at restaurants. But sometimes, there’s a little miracle here and there, like finding a place that does food with folks like him in mind.
Mike’s species is shaped like big-boned doritos to begin with, but even by that standard, he was large. With Xavier and Matt training him, he wanted to be more physically fit. Holding off on seconds and snacking on veggies instead was hard, but at least he found an appreciation for carrots. Then, one day while strolling through a part of Lilycove the gang had hardly explored, they found it: Monster Slice. On the window, the shop made a big deal out of their sizes with Actual Size stickers. They weren’t just big, they were Mike-sized! Oh, how he begged and pleaded to stop in on the grounds that he’d been “doing so well.” Well, fair enough. One freshly-fired pie later, Mike snagged his share: Three piping hot slices.
He doesn’t have to do a little dance about it, but I don’t think anyone’s gonna stop him. It’s good that he’s finding a place that caters to him - literally. The only problem is that now he’ll be making the trek over there regularly and buying slices, and that larger loafish figure we know and love might make a return. It’ll be up to Matt to keep him in shape, watching him all the more closely now. But not yet. Right now, he can have a little pizza, as a treat.
… And maybe another pie to go, as another treat.
