These gouache postcards are part of a large series where I will be aiming to paint 100 landscapes. These were painted in 2023 and 2024.
Postcard 69 Eucalypts - We often take our dogs along this trial on Saturday mornings. The open scrubland is an old rehabilitated mining site and is filled with native flowers, trees and bird species (reupload).
Postcard 73 Green Onions- These green onions are from my father-in-law's backyard, he grows a large array of vegetables but these were the first green onions to really thrive.
Postcard 74 Butternut Crate - These butternut pumpkins were stored in a blue shipping crate at my husband's uncles farm. They were being sold directly to the public on a particularly hot summer morning.
Postcard 75 Veggie patch - A single vegetable in the morning sun, also from my father-in-law's garden.

These are all breathtakingly fantastic, despite appearing common as muck!
The towering white tree reaching to the sapphire skies, the otherworldly green claw with the brown soilscape receding into darkness,
the arresting contrast of hues between those precious sunny gourds and their blue container,
the jade and emerald leaves hugging the ground...
Your father-in-law's garden
is a magical place,
made more magical still
by your artistic vision and skill!

Thank you! I am not sure, the 100 mark is fast approaching! I was originally going to place the series on hold once I hit 100 as my art supplier has been out of stock of the cardstock I use for several months now. Just a few days ago they emailed me telling me the sets are back in stock! I think I will keep producing these postcards and see how far I can go, the process is still fun and engaging for me.
Great to hear your rare supplies supplier has restocked!
And that the drawing process is so satisfying to you
that you'll likely keep creating these little wonders!
It's neither here nor there, but Ophryon has recently drawn this icon for Tytonidaeus on Twitter.
I thought it must have been your character at first,
and now I want to show you that there is another
cool sheep character out there!
I remember getting exuberant whenever I would see another pinniped character
on FA back when they were very rare, and sheep characters are still surprisingly
hard to come by.
