Lay, Cloud, Mudkip ''Adventuring at Route 120''
After that trek through the Fiery Path, Cloud and I decided to venture North to Fortree City in order to view the beautiful tree houses that were built there. We rested a little bit, until Cloud told me it was time to move on. So we both clambered out of the tree house we were staying in, climbed down the ladder and continued our trip through the vast and diverse Hoenn region. I told Cloud that I was really looking forward to our upcoming visit to Lilycove City in the North East of Hoenn, since Lilycove is one of my favorite cities in the region -- maybe we could even participate in a Pokémon Contest over there! On our way through the tall grass that covers a huge part of the Route, we met a shy little Mudkip, who was looking to find his way back home to the largest city in the region, Mauville City. So Cloud and I temporarily recruted him into our team, after which Cloud turned himself into a smaller-than-average Tropius, camouflaging both himself and his two smaller travel companions. When the sunlight turned harsh, he decided it was a good time to rest next to the open grassy path and cover both of us with one of his giant palm leaf wings.
And so it came to be that the cute Mudkip and I were both waiting out the harsh weather amidst patches of grass that were taller than I had ever seen before. Even though I, as a diaper-wearing Houndour, didn't really mind the intensifying heat that soon filled the air, I could still feel some sweat dripping from my tiny snout. At least I had a little mud-loving buddy to play with, and both of us were safe from the abnormal weather conditions, because Cloud, who had transformed himself into a young Tropius prior to entering Route 120, decided to shield us from the heat using one of his enormous, leaf-like wings.
