I can already imagine any of the three Sonic Rider opening themes playing in the background to this image.
I always thought the extreme gears were a really cool feature added to the lord of the Sonic Hedgehog universe. It's pretty cool that they also make appearances here and there when it comes to the IDW comics! It would be great if one day Sega/Sonic team get together again to make a new Sonic Riders installment.
Heck even if it was just a complete remaster of the first two games that would be great! Or Heck if they were feeling bold they could completely remake Free Riders from the ground up with a larger budget and of course using a traditional controller. OOHH! What if they made Free Riders into a VR game?! That one makes sense and it would be kind of cool to see it revised for the superior Hardware!
Anyhow sorry for rambling on it's just your picture really got me thinking about the good times with Sonic Riders and I'm glad there are fans such as yourself who reference it. Thank you for the upload this really made me smile tonight.
