As a species, the goai are nimble, capable of various feats of acrobatics. Their feathered arms and tail are used for both gliding and quickly evade attackers with flips and rolls. Many goai carry light weapons, which are used to augment their true weapon, their celestial based magics. Unlike many cultures, their celestial magic isn't holy magic, they call on the elements that make stars, planets, and interplanetary bodies and events. The goai of the mountains specialize in ice and void magic, the arboreal goai specialize in gases and dust. It's not uncommon for them to cross specialize, and there are other magics they call upon, like gravity and divination, most focus on these primary magics because there's more teachers! While the goai do have weapons, they're mostly used as foci and shape the way they unleash their magic for combat.

In this picture I wanted to showcase both acrobatics and the use of magic with their weapon attacks. We have Taic and another goai that I haven't named yet, engaging an enemy. The goai are a species of my creation.
