TL;DR - Warez went to Peace Keepers to spend some more time with Magnus after learning there was a big feast with fireworks to happen later. But after hanging out with Magnus a little before the main event, Magnus had a slip of the tongue that made the situation a little awkward. So Magnus wanted to make it up by taking Warez on a flight around the canyon to see the sunset.
In the realm of Peace Keepers, an area known as a dry desert canyon devoid of water, is where the Peace Keeper dragons live and the home of Magnus. Warez heard that on some nights they throw together a big feast and collectively socialize while setting off many fireworks in the night sky. After hearing that food was present, he knew he wanted to make an appearance and showed up early to meet Magnus.
“Warez you came, glad you could make it,” Magnus said excitedly before running over to give his friend and hug.
“Of course, I can’t pass up the chance to hang out with you and grab a bite to eat,” Warez said with a wide smile.
Magnus would then take the time to show Warez around and see all the festivities that were going to take place before taking a seat under a shady cliff to rest.
“Wow, it looks like there’s gonna be quite a bit going on tonight. I’m not sure what I wanna do first.” Warez said.
“You’re telling me, I can’t stop thinking about all the delicious food that’s gonna be in this gut of mine haha,” Magnus would say jiggling his belly.
“And when the moon’s high up in the sky we dragons take flight and soar across the sky to see all the gems glisten from the moonlight down below. It’s truly incredible and a sight to be seen.”
“Seriously? I could only imagine what that would be like, it does sound quite pretty. Wish I could tag along though.” Warez said.
“Why wouldn’t you, I did say ALL dragons didn’t I? So why—“ Magnus would begin to say before cutting himself off, noticing Warez’s expression sadden a tiny bit as his ears flopped down, before facepalming himself.
“I did it again, didn’t I? No wings…it completely slipped my mind.”
“Heh, very astute of you buddy,” Warez responded.
Now that an awkward silence would befall the two dragons, they would sit there not knowing what to say, but after a moment Magnus had got a bright idea.
“Hey Warez stand up, I gotta show you something,” Magnus said before springing to action.
“Um alright,” the yellow dragon would get up and stand beside Magnus out from under the shade.
“Now turn around and look towards that sheep in the distance.” Magnus would say before getting behind Warez.
“Ok? Is there something about the sheep I should know—aaaahh!” Warez began to ask a question but got cut off when Magnus quickly hugged him from behind, spread his wings, and leaped into the air. The other dragons would instantly take notice of the scream and Magnus taking flight as they flew higher and higher into the clouds. Warez kept his eyes closed until he felt their ascent come to a halt before slowly opening them to a nice surprise of a beautiful sunset. Magnus took note of Warez’s excited facial expression and saw the twinkle in his eyes before speaking up.
“Now how’s this for a view? It might not be as flashy as gems glistening but I come up here sometimes when the sun is setting to take this sight in.”
“This…is…so breathtaking, it’s also quite peaceful up here as well,” Warez said.
“Yeah, it is isn’t it?” Magnus would begin to say as he began moving again surfing through the clouds.
“Hey Warez, I want to apologize for what I had said earlier, about the…. y’know.”
“AH! So that’s where the sudden burst of energy came from, you were trying to cheer me up. I wasn’t upset with you or anything but I appreciate it, thank you.” Warez finishes his sentence by rubbing the orange dragon’s belly to show there are no hard feelings between the two as they continue to fly off into the sunset.
