I could not believe my luck to be given not just Ajani, but a double-sided Ajani card to illustrate! Finally something to truly please my entire (both regular fantasy AND furry) audience! :D Done for Modern Horizons 3. This is one half of a so-called flip card, which is a creature card that can transform into a Planeswalker.

I am entirely unbiased in my adoration of this work.
But you really did do a wonderful job with it. Even aside from the two characters, the environment is neat - the implication of the building, along with branches being used as walkways, allows me to imagine a really interesting settlement.

Whoever gave you this task to fullfil and draw image of one of the most famous cat-like character in fantasy definitely knew your capabilities and skills
They knew what they are doing and you had a talent to do such
He looks absolutely genuinely gorgeous in your style showing power and grave in his movement as well as a trace of very noticable elegance and nobility in his whole look and pose
Well done!

Your art is truly stunning, and the amount of detail you manage to include in your works is insane!
I have to say you are one of my biggest inspirations, I've learned a lot from looking at your stuff!
Acrylic is something I would really like to try in the future. How large is this piece here?

Indirectly it is! I could order a print to my home from INprnt, sign it and send it on to you if you'd like. It would cost a little bit more than ordering it directly yourself of course (since you'll basically have to pay for shipping twice unfortunately), but that's the only way to get it signed.
This is the print in the shop - https://www.inprnt.com/gallery/cara.....acatl-pariah/. If you'd like to go ahead with this just let me know what size you want it in!

My sona, an inventor lion named Arben, has roots in MtG, in part because I was into commander when I first came out (as gay and as a furry). Ajani became important to me. I didn’t know it at the time, as I never crushed hard on him like with some other furry characters in other media. When Habro chose to compleat Ajani, however, it stung. I felt like someone I loved had been hurt — again, bizarre, especially so because I never imagined myself getting all huffy over him like some neckbeard over their waifu — but knowing Ajani had been basically killed off intruded upon the normally safe space that furry content provided for me. When Ajani was cured, it felt just as arbitrary, and left me unsatisfied. Why should Ajani feel such tremendous guilt over things he had no control over?
Ah, but I’m getting off topic. I left magic — at first, I stopped buyng new products, proxying any card I needed, even bulk ones, but eventually I had stopped playing entirely. That was about a year ago. I guess you could call Ajani a loose end for me, both for his ongoing storyline in Magic and for my feelings toward Magic. Seeing this art doesn’t magically fix everything for me, but knowing you painted the next iteration of the big white kitty at least makes me smile.

Magic Historian's reaction to the art was funny https://youtu.be/_jLCfHVBgSk?t=3793
