I was told I should make a backup character in case....y'no. It might be a little cliché again but hey, I like the classics.

As for the art, I'm really happy with how the body and magic effects turned out. The face, eh, practice makes perfect I guess XD.

Personality: Pompous and snobbish, sees himself as above other sentient races but harbours no ill will to them. In fact, he wishes to mingle with them to study them like a zoologist might study animals.
Flaws: Lacks social understandings of other creatures, often leading to insulting statements or actions which makes creating and maintaining friendships tough. He also struggles to focus on matters that don’t interest him which can extend to his mind wandering mid-conversation with someone, inevitably making him a poor listener at times.

Background: Unfocused, undisciplined and unmotivated, that’s how Æra’s mentors would describe him. For decades he had studied the various academic applications and in all that time he had struggled to keep up with his peers. He found it difficult to focus on written material and had a bad habit of leaving assignments until the very last possible moment to complete them.
He excelled at practical activities, which is probably why his mentors didn’t drop him, however this was not enough for him to keep up with the rest of his peers. And so, with less than a decade until his graduation, he did the unthinkable and dropped out.
Not content with being a nobody however, Æra left his home and his village to begin his own studies out in the field. Perhaps he could learn something about old magics used in long dead civilisations or discover a yet unknown one. Either way, he had no intention of returning until he had proven himself. Who knows, perhaps he could amuse himself by mingling with the lesser creatures. Those human cities do seem fascinating to him.
