I do really like the digitally-painted-on-top-of-traditional-sketch combo. I get way better sketches if I do them traditionally but quick color is way easier digitally. You don't have to mix paint or worry about blending. I feel like since I switched to mostly traditional art I started appreciating more what digital is good for/good at.
I've had the reverse experience going from traditional to digital. Really loved working with different mediums, especially watercolors. I like to think it's helped me bring those traditional art practices into digital. Your art is always wonderful to see, and it's awesome to see you trying different experimental things all the time!
Aaahh, this is so endearing! Your artwork is so astonishing.. You've got a very talented eye for color! It's inspiring to view how strongly you convey their shades with these loose scribbles. Like I can genuinely feel this sense of temperature and weight from your lighting here. Gorgeous piece 🖤
