I don't have a name for her yet, but this is pretty much the design I have settled on.

She is a beetle and has two brothers, one older and one younger. She has a tomboyish personality and learned sword fighting from her older brother.

As I have been working on the various sprites and animations of her I have really come to like her a lot.

Also if anyone has good name suggestions toss them at me. I am leaning towards Valarie. Note I want to avoid anything specifically referencing Legend of Zelda, same way I don't want any on the nose names like Grace or Hope.
