FACTS
The Kangei Maru (関鯨丸) is the primary vessel of the Japanese whaling fleet and is the world's only whaler factory ship. It has a tonnage of 8,145 GT and is the largest member and flagship of the five-ship whaling fleet, headed by leader Shigetoshi Nishiwaki. The ship is based in Japan in Shimonoseki harbor and is owned by Tokyo-based Kyodo Senpaku, which is a subsidiary of the Institute of Cetacean Research.

May 5, 2021, when Kyodo Senpaku Keisha Ltd and other Japanese whaler crews has been announcement that would be new plan of new design based ferry-shape new Japanese whale factory ship will launch at March 2024.

On November 2022, Kyodo Senpaku teams announce said will be construction starts in 2023 and complete launch on late 2023 to March 2024.

As the February 10, 2023, when Kyodo Senpaku team is first built of new whale factory ship construction begins located at Tokyo but until as 7th of next months that announce new name.

Later on March 7, 2023, when Kyodo Senpaku Kaisha Ltd and other Japanese whaler crews and team has been announce that suggest has new factory ship is named Kangei Maru (関鯨丸) and will release launch at March 2024.

August 31, 2023, when Kyodo Senpaku builder is nearly finished and complete of new whale factory ship Kangei Maru before launches.

September 2023 to March 2024, when Japanese worker crews is doing to prepare and sort out almost finished that complete Kangei Maru (関鯨丸) the new and last whaling factory ship.

March 29, 2024, when new and last Japanese whale factory ship Kangei Maru has been delivered alongwith other Japanese whalers.
