The Hiko class Heavy Assault Carrier is a common multi-role troop assault ship used by the Shal'rein clan, serving as a replacement for the venerable Tiltra Class Heavy Assault Carrier. It consists of two modules: the habitable ring network and the detachable lander. The lander is capable of atmospheric entry, deploying troops, vehicles, and submersibles, launching and recovering aircraft, and providing heavy ground support fire. On the ground, the carrier is capable of using its dorsal dual heavy railgun turret to defend itself from orbital enemy counterfire. Their versatility has been proven time after time in combat and planetary invasions, although it is noted that they are not true battleships, being more designed as powerful combat transports than warships. They serve as some of the most devastating Itrean assault vessels, being well over 400 meters in length while being absolutely dangerous in large numbers.
The Garja is just one of many examples of the Hiko class. It was assigned to Lesser Adjunct Shira prior to her demotion after her mother defected to the UWA/T'rintar clan alliance.

There's always going to be some form of self-insert into a story, whether a writer wants to admit it or not. A lot of Hollywood writers can be really guilty of this (at least for now). However, there is nothing wrong with promotional moralism (a direction you feel is best right) in how your characters are reflected. Some can argue that every character in a story still represents a different personality or aspect of the writer to some form or degree. :)
