I am most happy to present, ladies and gentlemen, a project that’s been a long time in the making… The Heftoon Juicy July set! This is the first time I’ve ever taken a shot at doing Heftoons as a commission, and it’s been a great time all-around. The star of the show is the ever-wonderful Midaras , who can’t seem to help all the swelling situations he finds himself in… Good luck to him - it’s anyone guess where all of this will end up!

This heftoon will also be a real departure in another key way - color! Aside from that one-off Heftoon with a fat rat in a red-shirt, it’s unfamiliar ground for these heftoons. These pieces are also pretty jampacked with sight gags, so to make sure there’s room for everything, I tried out a new style for the text, handcutting the text boxes and sound effects out to make text and textless versions. Text with color will be the only thing posted to the main gallery, with the rest of the goodies hiding in scraps, so feel free to check there too!

This set was originally meant for yesterday, but due to some real-life craziness, things got a little clogged up - from here on out though, it’s full steam ahead! I hope you all enjoy this wild, wobbling ride to come.
