Haywerst, De Valvyn's instructor
Born of a respected, influent family in a far east continent renowned for its military pedigree, from a young hatchling he was destined to follow a path of honour and virtue, to protect his nation, following in his forefathers steps at the head of a well organised militia. His childhood was spent being immersed in the ways of war and weaponry, highlighted his aptness being gifted with a wide and bulky stature unabling the use of dreaded weapons normally impractical for his kin.
His life, however, would stray drastically from his destined path in a simple, single night that found his esteemed clan brought to ruin, slained or dishonored at the hand of backstabbers and politicians, a downfall orchestrated out of nothing more than the ambition of a pupil seeking to prove her metal. Though he harshly defended his hold and position, labouring to reclaim his name, attrition and despair won his heart as he found himself disgruntled and fleeing his homeland.
In western shores he soon found himself a stranger and a nobody in the hustle of bustle of unfamiliar cities. Though a nobody with skill, training soon put to use as a solider of fortune taking coin wherever he could find it, enlisted in larger conflicts, fighting for a nation and notions he did not yet share. Through his service and his exemplar aptitude he set himself apart from his peers and made an unlikely, powerful ally in whom was destined to be his new patry's destined grand duke.
A close brotherhood founded in blood and steel that made the two inseparable, one untainted by ambition and bitter steel ultimately rewarded as by a friend whose path he once threaded, elevating him from soldier, to brother, to the foreign yer trusted master of arms of the de valvyn grand duchy. Thus the foreigner who had lost everything found himself rich of a new family and duty; to train the new generation, to protect the peace that he had helped bring about.
AAAAaaand there you have Haywerst, fighter with the samurai subclass, designed and drawn for my good friend
DayDragon22 (yes i know he keeps popping up, it won't stop) and a BIG bird. Beefiest character i ever drew (so far)
