Sunny and Noctis are a complementary pair of Sorcerers who couldn't be more Day and Night. Sunny specializes in Light and Healing Magic while Noctis specializes in Shadow and Illusion magic.

Sunny the Charmander is an absolute sweetheart, extroverted, optimistic, she loves being adorable and showing off. She can be impulsive, she's more emotionally minded than logical, and she is also very naive easily trusting other pokemon at their word, unaware of social conducts, and gets herself into other people's business without them asking.

Noctis the Gastly on the other hand is very protective; He's a lot more wary and sceptical of pokemon than Sunny, and is more mature. He is typically quiet, introverted, and more logical minded than emotional. He tends to speak politely and has good manners, but will not hesitate to dispose of anyone who tries to harm Sunny.

To Noctis at least at first, it was just his duty to take care of and protect Sunny keeping her out of the attention of her Father, but over the course of living together he came to genuinely care about her as though she is family. They became a permanent symbiotic pair binding himself to her flame, the essence of her life force which he would guard within his own life. The two of them have committed themselves to stay together even if it detaches Sunny from interacting with other Charmanders normally and Noctis can no longer wander as he pleases. Sunny is Noctis's Joy and Noctis is Sunny's guardian. They are different but they go together like Night and Day

Because of being symbiotically bonded, Sunny has become Fire/Ghost type and Noctis has become a Ghost/Fire type
