Today (17th August) marks the day Indonesia became an independent country for 79 years, free from the shackles of our enslavers!! "Merdeka!" Is what we say to cement our liberty and independence.
Beryl is cosplaying as our local govt leader in full uniform.

Translation:
Nusantara baru and Indonesia maju is a slogan for hoping Indonesia to be even better.
Dirgahayu Republik Indonesia is the same as congratulations for independence for the Republic of Indonesia.

Backstory
On 17th August of 1945, after the atomic bombs dropped on Japan the day beforehand, there was a power vacuum on every of Japan's imperial colonies, as the news of Japan surrendering after being bombed was in the air. Our country's forefathers seize the moment and claim the long-dreamed independence of Indonesia, from the long years of VOC (Netherlands) and around 3 years of Imperial Japan's grip. Of course things didn't get smoother after that, but at long last... We can exist as our own country till this day.


I understand that there werent many here who knew about our country and its own furry community, so I posted this to tell people that we do exist. Furries are everywhere and not just in western first world countries. Our community is growing slowly as well, starting to became popular in the world of interesting hobbies.
