Had trouble doing this without making it look too much like a dog lol, it's actually a perunium, some form of prehistoric mammal I believe.

It IS difficult to tell from this just what species it is. I've googled it (perunium) and I think it's some sort of bear, maybe? Either way, bear noses are similar to dog noses, so you got away with that one :P Only real difference I know of is that the nostrils are larger in a bears nose, and the slits are more open. Again, if it IS a bear, the feet should be flatter, because you have drawn canine-esk feet :3
My last point is an anatomical one, the left arm seems longer than the right (his left and right, not the viewers).
But like I say, I probably couldn't do any better! And it still looks pretty good :3

*has just realised that it's a mustelid (which I hadn't even heard of 'til now)*
Scratch the 5 toes thing, but the feet should still probably be flatter... or longer maybe... very difficult species to draw x.x
As for noses, mustelid noses tend to vary a fair bit, so I have NO idea

I know what you mean when you said you had a hard time making it not look like a dog. It happens to me too when I draw non-canine characters. Nevertheless, she looks great.
And what I noticed the most is the lack of "female human attributes." I don´t know if you did it because of the request, or for personal taste. But either way, those "attributes" are something I really do NOT like to see in a female furry character. So just because of that detail, she´s going to a very special place in my favorites.
About the pose, well I know how hard it is to draw "dynamic" poses. I would be absolutly terrified attempting these types of poses, and it´s good to see that you try. That´s what´s going to make you a better artist. Very well done, my friend.
