If I had a nickel for every pale rodent boy with a scarred eye obscured by something (and a scrawny boyfriend with dark fur) I've made I'd have exactly two nickels.

At 16 years old, kicked out of the house by his foster parents after a big fight over his choice of presentation and preferred partner, in which a bottle was thrown, the wounds the shards left never really healed properly, having gotten infected. the scars still visible now at 23.
He ended up freighthopping from Maine to northern Pennsylvania, he ended up finding a small group of abandoned boxcars nestled in the woods about a mile beyond an old factory. which he'd end up making a home out of.

This led Basil right to him, as an avid cryptid watcher he would frequently explore the woods late at night, he met Sage and they clicked instantly, after accidentally scaring the shit out of Sage at 2:00AM of course.


I don't know why I've given him so much lore, I really don't, I really like this mouse for some reason, the arm positioning could be better here, could have zoomed it in to make it a bit less awkward but ehh.
