I'm very grateful to Levo for this awesome character design of a rather bad-ass looking Eastern dragon!
I've had an idea for an Eastern dragon kicking around in my head for some time now. I've owned a number of Eastern dragons and hybrids over the years, but most all started as pre-made adopts. They were all amazing, but I wanted a design of my own - one with a colour palette and design of my choosing. When Levo opened for commissions, I grabbed the opportunity to bring this dragon to life. I've been a fan of Levo's art for quite awhile, so it was amazing to work with Levo in creating this bad boy!
On the theme of naming my main characters after stars (and other astronomical things), meet Seginus, a Yunqi-Long (or luck / fortune Eastern dragon). Seginus will more commonly go by Sage... it's a variation using the first 3 letters of his name, and reflects the fact that he's been around a very long time, and is quite wise. Despite his rather large size, he's a peaceful creature; still, don't get on his bad side as he could snap you in two like a twig. He's one of a few remaining members of what were known as "luck dragons". He has an innate magical ability to change the fortune of those around him... either in good or detrimental ways. Specifically what will happen is random; he has no control over the results of bringing good or bad luck to his target. The results can sometimes be quite amusing. :)
