Our city has been letting a lot of green areas grow more 'wild' this year, and we have seen a huge resurgence of the local bug populations as a result.
We try to avoid swatting or squashing them but that's really hard when they keep landing ON me. ☠

Trust me, it's just fear based on unknown. Outside of few venomous spiders, most of them are friends, and they help us with pests. But I do get some phobias though. Like I do have trauma based phobia of vasps and bees. Not that I hate them, they just freak me out. But spiders? Nah. I mean, they're better than cockroaches and flies. Those guys are just disgusting.
