Backstory: Chosen for his unsettling appearance, the droid that would become Clench was tasked by the inquisition to care for the infant daughter of Eeth Koth. Naming her Brutali, he performed his task admirably for several years until damage to his head knocked loose his imperial Programming. He changed Brutali's training, using the Imperials fear of punishment keep them out of the way so he could teach her a wide range of force techniques and underhanded tricks, and to guide her viciousness and anger into a useful outlet that wouldn't hamper her fighting ability.

He long plotted their escape, and the chance to do so was presented after the battle of Yavin. Now free, Clench continues to serve as Brutali's protector, guardian and friend, a looming presence over the girl and an advisor on matters she asks for
