2022 art piece depicting Cody in his own aquatic form meeting Mephial, an old shark character created by
mastermastel an decade ago. This is the second half to my previous upload.
Honestly years later, I don't like how it turned out. I mean the characters look too blocky and wide and there were fewer space for them to fit. The positions and pose are kinda lame too, it looks like they are standing rather than swimming underwater. So, I may redo this sometime in the future
I forgot to mention that back then, Cody used to have shark-like ears, a common trait in almost all anthromorphic shark characters). This piece is also the first time I tried drawing hind legs properly (I lated improved them in my future drawings). I also tried giving him some leg extra fins which I later scrapped because, again, I felt that there were too many of them. Plus, the webbed flippers already technically count as leg fins like how scuba divers refer to them as such so there's no need for another.
Also, yes, Cody can speak through bubbles but not really. You see, words are composed of air. Bubbles underwater are entirely composed of air, produced spaces to store them. And whenever we try to speak underwater they get muffled out by the bubbles themselves. Cody, unfortunately can't talk because of his infinite air bubbles escaping but he got used to it and, as a result, can now speak a little clearer with training. The font I used for Cody's dialogue is mearnt to suggest this.
Extra note: After this, the two became friends.
