Thank you love - coloring WIP
my process:
1) Pencil sketch
-was really happy with the result that was worried ruining it on ink
2) Inking with brush sign pen
-there was room to improve and correct. Mainly Jespe's eye and right arm position. Also this point I had to made a completely "random" question to my partner on what colored of pants she would wear with black top, luckily I did to improve with nice looking shorts instead of yoga pants (Might have ruined the surprise, but worth it :D )
3) First round color pencils
-Shiloh has very much white-gray-black colors so I was going light pressure to get the overall look down and adding shading that I could color over, if needed. Did not have to result to rubber at all (thou for some shading it could have been good option)
4) Second round color pencils + color marker eyes
-Putting all in black! Other swipes of more gray, silver and black colors. Just a touch of color marker was good to add, thou that would be more noticeable on bigger paper (I should do more drawing on full A4, this is small sketch book after all)
5) Final round of color pencils + Color mark edges
-More cross-sectional coloring like you supposed to do to strengthen light colors, mainly on Jespe's clothes and fur here
6) I forgot to color that part!!!
oh yeah, constantly noticing small un-colored sections like Jespe's arm, hair behind a ear, under Shiloh's boob... it's really easy to overlook those small hidden spots xD
There you have it. Done in three 30 min - 90 min sessions + extra minutes taking picture & filling in the missing parts.
It's a process - Hope you enjoyed this learning experience
