Fifth and final slot in the Returners RIOT sale series, and it's going to my buddy Trey-the-Overlord on Bluesky (and his gf Lazloboyo)! We decided to work with three different OCs for this one, so from left to right, we have Laz's hawk (and sister to Jet), Bomber; her arctic fox bruiser Zoey; & her tiny rat w/ a big ol' tome, Tonya!
Took me a while to get the full details for this series down, but I think the results speak for themselves. Was really fun to do 3 new corrupted statuses that I've never done before, and it made a great send-off to this little series sale~
G.U.N. Recruitment is a Corruption type inflicted mostly by GUN Directors, Secretaries, or Commander units (Lanolin, Commander Irons, etc), and the appearance of the changed unit varies based on their previous combat classification. Tanks become Riot-Armored enemies, Burst characters become "Stealth" agents like Bomber here, and Support characters become Nurses, although the dull blues, greys, & striking reds will remain consistent across all three. Recruited allies also gain a new TP skill called "Beam Jail", which can deal decent damage to a former ally and apply hypnosis.
Knighted is a Corruption inflicted only by Dark Queen Merlina during her boss fight; if a character is at 1/4 health or less, she may inflict a Curse on them that corrupts a player if they aren't healed of status in 3 turns- turning them into a silent, unyielding knight in mindless servitude to the Queen. Knighted characters lose all prior Skills they had as a player character, but their STR increases drastically and they will Stand-In for damage that would have been targeted at Merlina.
Eggfordized is the final Corruption to discuss in Returners RIOT!!; usually enforced by Eggford Salon Pods (see here: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/57224198/) that have managed to Bind a character & captured them for 3 turns (though Eggford Alice can also inflict the Corruption on party members during her boss battle.) Eggfordized characters tend to drop in Strength, but their maximum EN increases by 50 & their EN/TP recharge rate goes up. They may not look it, but there's a powerful conformist force behind their blank smiles...
