A young Victor—or should we say Dagskwerhe—sets out on what he knows will be a lengthy journey.
His tribe selected him as the vanguard for a mission critical to his people's continued survival. Dagskwerhe took on the mantle with every appearance of noble intention, but neglected to mention that he had other, more shameful reasons for making himself scarce at that particular moment. One way or the other he was effectively exiled. He knew there was a high probability that he would not be returning.
What he had no way of knowing was exactly what strange paths his "journey" would set him on, or that from that day forward he would never see another living smilodon ever again.
Or that the single glance back towards home would be his last.

so young...so victor >.>
For any of the Bosonic Vinegar's Lore enjoyers, what he means in the section of "..but neglected to mention that he had other, more shameful reasons for making himself scarce at that particular moment.." is what you can read at the last 2 pages of "the nameless one", a cool short story wrote by him that totally deserves your time to check it up!
...gosh! how I would love to see one of the scenes of that story depicted!!..
