Aevaa Starwing was born a member of a rare draconic species, one that can harness the power of the astral energy and is able to phase themselves and others into the "Astral Plane": a sort of “mirror world” parallel to the real world, where spirits of those who passed long ago reside.

The young astral dragon was raised and taught by the Order of Iros'Siaxa, named after the goddess who said to have birthed the astral dragons in the beginning of time. Throughout, she was considered a prodigy within the order, exceeding expectations and was considered a candidate as a future High Priestess.

Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worst for Aevaa, as she was suddenly captured by space pirates. Luckily though, the Order was quick to hire the mercenary group APEX to commence a rescue mission for the astral dragon. She wasn't aware of it at the time, but a small spark ignited within her when she once laid eyes on her rescuer, Ignis Draco. During the rescue, the young astral dragon ended up saving Ignis’ life from the captain of the pirates, resulting in the latter facing a rather gruesome end.

However, after returning to the order, Ignis reveals that he and his crew had discovered that a member of the Order, a fellow student who was the daughter of one of the high priests, had contacted the pirates and fed them information on Aevaa and her whereabouts. The reason being? She had grown a strong animosity towards Aevaa for being outdone for her talents as an Astral Priestess.

Because of his daughter’s foolishness, the high priest made it his responsibility to conceal the truth from his fellow clergy, which of course ultimately backfired, and for their treachery, the duo were to be banished.

Aevaa however, letting her emotions get to her, gunned down her would-be fellow student for her betrayal. Realizing that her act of violence would be looked down upon, she silently renounces from the Order, despite protests from her former teachers.

It was a rough time for Aevaa, having to come to terms with such a traumatic event. However, she had grown to accept her place within APEX, thanks to her saviour and now lover, Ignis Draco.

Years later, she has now become a prominent member of APEX, as their healer and psychic, having retained her soft and compassionate side. Only now, she isn’t afraid to show her more “aggressive” side during the heat of battle...or wherever things don’t go accordingly.

Yup, das right, it's not just Ignis, but all of APEX is getting the new stylized treatment!

I also ended up giving Aevaa some new clothes, since I figured her old attire looked a bit too basic in my eyes.
