My face flushed with the realization that I was now half-naked, but David didn’t seem to mind at all. The back of his jacket slit open as more plumes of fur erupted from it and he seemed simply delighted by all of this. As I watched him, he called out to me: “Don’t you see? We’re wild Pokemon now. What do we need these silly clothes for?” I couldn’t believe it! He had no concerns over his precious things getting ruined…but there was something alluring about this. His fox features eroded away in place of something more, his feet changing into great paws that began to obliterate his durable leather boots in seconds. Seeing him in this way made me wonder why we mammals have to adhere to good society while Pokemon got to wander where they wanted to. I felt envious. Derisive. Why am I always the one who has to be on their best behavior?
