First political-ish art since 2016 (!!!!) in light of recent events at home.
Trans kids and their rights are human rights. It's NOT up for debate.
As far as my personal transition story goes, I was not allowed access to hormones until I reached 18 years old. There was no statewide ban at the time but because I was under Tricare, the list of endocrinologists I could see was basically reduced to only two who refused to see trans minors for ANYTHING hormone-related. During the first two years I was out (I came out at 16), being denied access to gender-affirming care by my doctors at the time essentially felt like a death sentence, and I battled with thoughts of self-harm almost every single day that my body continued going through the "wrong" puberty.
When I moved to New York and started HRT through informed consent, it was a complete and total game-changer for my physical and mental health. I could not be any more happier with my body and my soul in the 6+ years testosterone has remolded me, and I mean that in ways that I didn't even think was possible. So to think that very soon, other 18-year olds (and everyone younger) will be robbed of that joy at the federal level, it honestly infuriates me in a way I haven't felt since I just came out.
All that said—to help me and my partner relocate to a safer state (and possibly out of the country in a few years), I will be selling the above artwork as a sticker on my Etsy by the end of this month. My trans pride sticker that's a bit... less aggressive... will ALSO be listed around that time.

Once we're both settled with moving costs, I will also look into doing a re-run of these stickers in 2026 to crowdfund a charity donation to The Trevor Project, in order to bolster their legal fight in protecting LGBTQ+ minors who keep getting caught within political crosshairs.
Community will get us through this. Organize, resist, and do NOT comply in advance.
