Yong "Dr. Monroe" Yang is a Taiwanese American from a family of mangers at one of night city's growing apartment blocks, getting into night uni's medical program as her family wanted her to get into a line of work that fit her intellaget and most of the woman half of the family were in the medical field. She was studying to be a cyber surgeon using both cyber ware and flash scoping techniques, to mold the body into super modals and Yang was so bored of the same noses, same courses, same breast implants, same mister stud implants. She was good at them; her teachers said she was a savant at molding the human form, but she was hoping to be a bit more artful in the cosmetics she was doing for people. That was when she found an old book called "The Island of Dr Monroe" and exotic body modding scene and fell in love with this group of body modders.

So it was a surprise to her professors when, for the final, she ended up coming in with a friend she turned into a femboy cheetah for. Despite how weird it was, they did see that she had a lot of skill and technical know-how to do a complete body conversion. However, the more she changed, the more the dark side of Long Fang came out, to the point that after a long surgical process to finalize the shape of his snout, he strikes Dr Monroe with his claws, leaving a disfiguring scar across her face. she would later leave that night and never looked back, but Long Fang could not use that hate and obsection to take over his gang and used it to make Yong Yang's life a living hell.

exotics she worked on were disappearing only to reappear at the doorstep of her clinic dismembered, and women she was interested in were found ripped apart for trying to "trying to cheat on him." The harassment got worse and worse, losing the clinic, finding her car on fire, and the lives of her family treated, which seemed dumb until he would some dirt about her family being a part of a group trying to get telnet rights into law and generally be decent people to the tenets they were in charge of.

without corporate protection, her family was killed by the dozen as they attempted to find a way out of Japantown, if not the city itself. only a handful are left and long fang make her an offer. comeback to his side within the year, being cybered up to be "his little sheep" or the rest of her family are going to be eaten alive. So now she is an edge runner as it is the fastest way for the good Doctor to make money needed to get herself and her family out of Night City for good.
