Scratch boards are one of my favorite mediums
Ever heard of a scratch board? They're pretty unique in that they are a reverse value art style done with inked chalk/clay paper and an exacto knife. They sell these colored versions for kids but they get a wooden stick to scratch with. It's like scratch offs, but art, and equally as messy lol.
The cheetah took 4 1/2 hours, while the fennec took 3 1/2 hours. Did these in an art class and they were displayed in the school for a while. Truly some of my most impressive pieces ever. They are framed and displayed in my home. (Took prolly 6 years to finally get frames for them.)
I absolutely love doing fur with knife strokes. Wanna see more scratchboards? Send me some scratch paper! Good stuff is not cheap heh.
