Shoot, I had a feeling she pushed him too hard. Aren't trainers supposed to have people stop when they say they need to so they don't pass out?

I'm not sure I agree. I think her telling him to slow down was the appropriate thing once he expressed the desire to stop, since he stopped anyway and fainted. Theoretically, if he stopped last page (about a few seconds prior to actually stopping) he would've fainted anyway. The issue is suddenly starting or stopping quickly once you're exhausted is bad.
