Just then, the creature raised its head at the sound of a door creaking upon, grunting as if he just remembered he wasn’t the only living thing in the building. Out from the door several feet away emerged Davey Harrison, the portly manager of Beef-For-Real who was looking down preoccupied at his cell phone (you’d think he would’ve noticed the yelling, growling and clothes ripping from his only employee by now). Before Davey could turn the corner and make his way to the front of the kitchen, the beast had already leapt up to the air duct in the ceiling and scrambled through it without being detected. Davey boredly questioned Spencer about his cleaning, but when he looked up, he was shocked to find only a pile of clothes crumpled on the tile with no human occupying them. In utter confusion, he called out Spencer’s name, not knowing that he was all but gone for the rest of the night.
