The Kid is a young, mute Kirin who stowed away on a merchant ship, only to be discovered and taken in by Flynt’s crew. Though terrified at first, he quickly proved himself hardworking and eager to belong. While he never learned of the cure for the Stream of Silence, he’s come to accept his voicelessness as part of who he is. He communicates through gestures and writing, always watching, always learning.

Despite his determination, Flynt refuses to let him join raids, believing he’s too young to risk. Instead, the crew looks after him like a younger brother, gifting him Kirin Eye Beads as a symbol of his heritage, a doubloon necklace from Flynt himself, and a silver earring—his first bit of "booty." Though he carries a hidden dagger for safety, he’s yet to need it. For now, he waits for the day he can truly stand among them, not as the crew’s treasure, but as their equal.
