Here's Raiden (pronounced RHY-din) in his Splatlands attire. After all of the events of Splatoon 2, he was offered to become a member of Team Splashdown (Rose personally asked if he wanted to join, wink wink), but he declined the offer and journeyed on his own. Several months later when the team moves to Splatsville, they run into him again.

While he's not an official member of the team, he will come to their aid if Rose asks him to (if he's needed, not if he's wanted, mind you). His experience in the Octarian Army makes him a formidable adversary on the battlefield. However, his "lone wolf" attitude makes it difficult at times to work as a team with him. The only one he's willing to work together with is Rose, though he never explains why. Some squiddos speculate that maybe the two of them have something special going on between them...
