Amendelwyr's wing shifted over her dear friend Iolanthe as the starlight brightened. The magic in the forest grew stronger, with sparkling wisps weaving and trailing gentle lights in the dark shadows of the trees and overgrowth.
"Stargazing on such nights never grows old, Iolanthe." Amendelwyr turned to look at her friend whom still looked up at the sky's blanket of tiny lights. "And even more, sharing them with a dear friend."
The purple dragoness smiled and looked back. "After a long day of practicing magic with you, Amendelwyr, it is as much rewarding as comforting." Iolanthe wiggled closer and the two of their tails twirled together, flexing around her side. Comfortable again, Amendelwyr bunted Iolanthe's head affectionately and then relaxed to see the sky's lights roll along the dark banner between the trees once more.
