Cute cat furry guy in a tie in the office and in a cute pose
posted 8 months ago An amateur artist
Wait a minute... What's with this art?
I drew it under the impression of a video that had a theme about Brainrot and AI. Of course, I was planning to draw something creepy, with a bloody belly (like in those damn cat videos, my God..), but in the end it turned out something similar... Strange and incomprehensible.
I was also thinking about whether I should use AI for art, so that I could definitely get into the character of those very first AI artworks... But it seems to me that people will eat me alive for this.-
Instead, I asked friends and acquaintances about common and obvious mistakes in AI art, and in the end, I drew this art based on their words! And it's unlikely that I managed to get into the key of "AI art" like that, it's more like monsters from Backrooms. And I also struggled with the background, because I simply did not know how to disfigure this background.
I wanted to convey just such a "creepy and strange feeling from AI art". Like, when this AI phenomenon started, I couldn't look at these first pieces of art without fear. Type.. All the art looked beautiful, detailed, bright, and kind of cute, but you still had the feeling that something was wrong.. It's like Uncanny Valley, but in the art world. Especially when over time you start to notice artifacts on the art, extra fingers, and the character seems to merge into one with the clothes. It seems to be better now, and I'm already used to these artworks.
It's a strange experience, I know. Why did I do it? I wanted to. I also just wanted to share this thought, but I didn't dare.
