The second work I did for the "The Lion King: Ultimate Edition" zine (drawn two years ago).
And this time it's a fanart for
's comic "Broken Crown".
The creators of the zine wanted to honour not only the canonical and semi-canonical TLK stuff we have, but also fan-creations! So I leapt at the chance to create a piece for one of my favorite TLK (nowadays original xenofiction) comics!
I was also excited because I'm polyamorous myself and I wanted to draw these three troublemakers together. I thought they deserved an epic piece! Hope you enjoy!

I support the fan theory that Taka and Serafina were close when they were young. In fact, when Taka (by this time he had taken the name "Scar") became the leader of the Ndona pride, he chose Serafina as his first queen, and from the relationship a male lion cub was born, Mheetu "the white prince" (because he was born with white fur), Mheetu stayed in the pride until young adulthood, but once, like his half-sister Nala, he ran away and hasn't been seen since.
