The Mk.138 E1 is medium to long range MMG, a belt fed system that closes the gap between GPMGs and HMGs, it's light enought to be carried around by infantry squads, set up in positions where it's range advantage can be used to lay down supressive fire beyond enemy ability to return fire, add a Smuzzle, a Supressor and muzzle device hybrid, that removes flash and dust kicked off by firing, with a thermal imaging sight, it becomes a tremendous tool for ranged firefights both during day or night time, or a devastating asset at medium ranges due to the 8,5mm polymer cased ammo being able to punch trough walls and cover with much greater ease than 7,62 as it carries 4 times the energy even at ranges of 600 meters.

The greatest advantage of the weapon system comes from the gun itself as it's features a recoil mitigation system known as the, short recoil impulse averaging, the weapon system have a consistent and manageable recoil, giving this belt fed the accuracy it needs to use to full potential the powerful 8,5mm rounds.
