having your own rena would be nice, but i would hate to not be able to see a renamon that looked like that.

Ya know looking back at this, I feel like a wholesome story is needed for this image.

My take would be, since Renamon is a more combative Digimon, they where some sort of fighting team, until her human lost their eyesight by an accident.
Renamon feels guilty about either cursing or at least not being able to prevent this accident and therefore insists on taking the full responsibility for her human.
But probably do to the law about including Digimon in society is still a work in progress, she wasn't able to get registered as their caretaker.
So Renamon continued to insisted on at least becoming the next best thing, their service "animal".
This leads to this situation, where Renamon isn't really happy with herself and their situation, but her human being overwhelmed and proud with all the effort she puts into their care and even sacrifices her fighting dreams and dignity just for them.

I love it.

Bittersweet but wholesome. I could see a whole slice of life following the two of them. Kinda tempted to make characters based around it now.
