I rage quit Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin so many times, yet something keeps pulling me back in.
Tonberry enemies have this nasty attack called “Everyone’s Grudge” that bombards you with a hail of projectiles. It’s nearly impossible to dodge them all and using your soul shield on most of them will likely break it, giving the Tonberry the opportunity to stab you. The best way to deal with this is the Void Knight’s “Runic” skill, which will absorb all of the projectiles and you can unleash a blade of energy that rips off most of the Tonberry’s break gauge and slam it against a wall if one is nearby.
Leon here, unfortunately, has not unlocked the Void Knight class and learns the hard way about why Tonberrys are used to guard valuable treasure chests.
Visual Description:
Both panels take place in the hallway of a castle with gray stone walls and a limestone floor with a long green carpet. There is a window with yellow light shining through.
In the first panel, Leon stands there with his legs stood wide as he holds a large Greatsword (difficult to describe, has blood red metal on the blade and hilt with sliver veins running along the flat sides) above his head, one hand on the hilt, another on the blade itself. He is wearing a purple fedora and a red-pink diaper held up by a brown belt (complete with belt loops) and a picture of a Cactaur on the front. His mouth is wide open and his eyes have red pulsating veins as he screams at the top of his lungs “I WILL KILL CHAOS”.
On the other side of the panel is a tonberry, a small green creature with a sideways oval-shaped head with two bead-like yellow eyes on each side of it. It has little nubs for hands and wears a monk-like robe, and a pink-tan diaper poking out from under it, along with a green fish-like tail. It’s feet are basically little brown perfectly round shoes. In it’s left hand, it holds a carving knife while in it’s right hand, it holds a little gold lantern.
In the second panel, the Tonberry is in the exact same pose, but it’s lantern now has a dark purple flame. Numerous dark violet/pink projectiles with eyes swarm at Leon, who’s legs and tail are the only visible part of him as he is thrown back. His Fedora is thrown off and the front half of his diaper is also ripped off and falls to the floor. The Tonberry’s attack name is displayed above it in a transparent violet colored box “Everyone’s Grudge”.
