An absolutely magnificent piece done by
AfftiSM of my Rito-self, and my dragon Remmy! A gift from my dear friend Bungus, and I couldn't be happier with how it came out. They really caught the energy this pair have!
Artwork is (C) the incredible AfftiSM. Please be sure to fave and comment on the original, here!
Remmy the dragon and Ember the Rito are (C) me, Emberell
I absolutely -adore- how they did the armor for both of them. The leg, talon, and claw guards are so cool, and they really well captured my vision for their armor! I think my favorite bit of this is Remmy's cheeky grin. He's a fun character - though over his life he's grown more fluent in an old dialect of draconic, he usually prefers communicating with his body language, rumbles, and wings.
I've been playing around with my Rito-shape a lot lately, and I find that wingarms suit me incredibly well. Pictured here is her, though she's taken on a small life of her own under the guise of Illia, the drakewarden ranger. From the beginning she's ventured with Remmy the dragon. Her companion, he started off as a small little fellow - a cute party companion and pet who occasionally poked his muzzle in to buff allies, or help when she wound up in a sticky situation. She's come so far, though - what started as a curious venture into D&D 5e and a westmarch campaign setting with vorish rules has led to her becoming my main player-character.
Remmy here has come so far form the small little dragon he started off at in the earlier levels - he's grown into a tall, striking dragon. More than that, he's found himself equipped with a set of Legendary armor that not only lets him operate as a fully realized dragon on the battlefield, it's also power armor, the crystal at its core fueled by the energy and magicka he can draw from his foes. In battle he's usually doing his best to keep foes busy and back up his allies - carrying potions, or tackling foes, pinning them down, and leaving them wide open for others to attack. All while she covers him from far behind with a storm of arrows!
I was briefly pondering going into detail on her backstory here, but it's been a LOT truly. She's been so fun to play - she started out as a dual-wielding ranger, though sadly 5e isn't terribly great at allowing a lot of build diversity (especially for rangers, hah), so she's wound up with a bow in the end. But she's still a blademaster at heart, and when the time calls for it she can draw her swords and strike with the best of them! Most of all, I think I really enjoy the rito aspect, and I'd like to get more art of myself that way.
