I'm trying something a little new: giving myself a time limit on completing paintings. I've gotten a new set of techniques that are very helpful in working out a composition quickly. Verve! Excitement! Pizzaz!

Here are two examples

In terms of process, I'll work in three stages. 1) Getting a rough sketch/composition 2) Advancing a bit with color 3) Going to completion. It'll be pretty similar to the regular painted scenes, except I won't generate alternative sketches or color thumbnails. Expect some deviation between stages, as I'll be reworking things frequently in order to keep up the energy.

O.O Lemme tell ya...

I posted this, then went to make myself a pizza, without expecting much of a response.

I just have to say thanks for all your interest! I was stunned. Wow.

I'm gonna try and sort this all out tomorrow. Truthfully, I had only planned to do three of these for Round One, which will probably be a disappointment. But I will surely be opening up again soon!
