he would probably be fine. due to square cube law, the terminal velocity of rodents is far lower than ours, so they often simply cannot fall fast enough to hurt themselves. a squirrel or a rodent could be thrown out of an airplane flying at 3000 meters, and they still wouldn't land hard enough to be hurt. Cats are much the same way, even they are small enough that their terminal velocity is low enough that a fall from any height is survivable, though the catch with a cat is the fall height has to be high enough to give them time to turn themselves upright then spread out to slow themselves down.
The only risk for a rodent falling from heights is that there might be something on the ground that wants to eat them.
